Generate Music, which is owned by Eric Wikman, was started in June 2000 by Deepswing Productions. The label is based on the west coast of the United States in the heart of Hollywood where Los Angeles is home.

The label manufactures mostly vinyl records for the nightclubs, internet stations & radio DJs to play all over the world. Generate Music is always looking for new outlets and venues for Deepswing Productions to release its music especially with the evolving times and technology. To produce this dance music, it starts with a groove, then writing lyrics, after that bringing in some of the best vocalists and musicians to complete the picture and finally blending it all together for the final mix down.

Eric Wikman & Deepswing’s production style is described as (House Music) a mixture of “soulful, jazzy,
gospel, funky “House” ~ pretty much the disco of today!. Musical influences include most of the originators in Chicago & New York, along with current favorites like Soulfuric, Joey Negro, Steve Silk, Mousse T, Luis Radio, DJ Disciple, Sandy Rivera, Knee Deep, Masters at Work, Blaze, Basement Boys, Grant Nelson to name just a few. Of course the sounds of disco, funk, gospel, R&B and every type of music listened to while growing up had an impact on the label’s releases. With this background, the label projects a theme with a positive and uplifting message.

Deepswing’s production resume started in 1993 that includes over 80 records & remixes released under
different monikers on a variety of other record labels around the world. After producing these tracks, it became time to start its own record label, as a vehicle to control and release a specific soulful House Music.

As of today, their label highlights began with the release of their world hit “In the Music” (catalog#GM002)
that was licensed to Time Records, Italy, Sony UK & Polydor, Germany. Not only did this song head straight to #1 all over Europe it also gave Deepswing the opportunity to film a music video in Milan and on the French Riviera. This song was also included in the DreamWorks major motion picture “The Tuxedo” starring Jackie Chan and Jennifer Love Hewitt. Apart from “In The Music” there have been other releases such as “We’re Going up!”, “It’s All Right”, “Take Me To The Disco”, “I’m A Believer!” (featuring Donna Washington). “Diva” & “Freedom (featuring Chance), and “Love Is…” with spoken word by Kristi Lomax along with other jazzy gems.

Generate Music’s combination of joy, energy and strong production have propelled this label into being one of the hottest in the House Music scene. With these songs and future productions, Generate Music is helping keep the love alive in the house music scene and people grooving on the dance floors all over the world.
